Thank You For Being A Friend

After a long week and a half of searching, and literally seeing every apartment on every inch of this island, we finally succumbed to the fact that we are both 70-year-old women at heart.  Our new pad is a somewhat over-the-top Miami abode circa 1987.  It came complete with wicker furniture, soft pastel colors, and tile, tile, tile!

Coral Island (the name of our complex) is located 3/4 of the way up Mt. Tapochao in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.   Capital Hill is near the middle of the island and houses most of the government offices, mayor's office, etc.  Mt. Tapochao is the highest peak in Saipan at 1554 feet.  Our views are simply incredible, looking west over the top of Garapan and directly at Managaha Island.

As you can see in the pictures, we have great western ocean views (including from the bath tub - I know...a bit obnoxious).  The sunsets are amazing but somewhat odd, they seem much farther away than "normal" sunsets, much lower, and right as the sun is about to disappear, the clouds are just low enough to cover it - not sure if that will change with the seasons.

We have plenty of room for visitors so if we get the okay from Sophia, Blanche, Dorothy and Rose, anyone and everyone is welcome to stay!
